WEBELOS TO SCOUT DAY
An Introduction to Boy Scout Skills
Attention all Webelos Dens, on Saturday May 2nd, 2009 the Chicago Area Council Activities and Membership Committees present a special day just for Webelos. It will be an action packed day where Webelos will get a look at what it is like to be a Boy Scout.
Webelos will spend the morning learning the following Scouting skills:
· Knife and Axe · Fire Building
· Knots · Conservation
· Foil Cooking · Compass
In the afternoon, dens will show off their new skills in a camp wide game.
Miller Meadow (North) is located on the South East corner of Roosevelt Road and First Ave. (Enter off of Roosevelt Rd. about ¼ mile East of First Ave.) Check in starts at 8:00 am with an opening ceremony at 8:45 sharp. The closing ceremony will take place around 3:30 pm after the camp wide game.
This is a great opportunity for Webelos to see what the Boy Scouting is all about and where they can get info about a Troop in their area.
Last day to sign up is April 15th, space is limited. Fee is $7.50 per person and includes lunch, patch, and a full day of FUN!
