The NYLT course will be conducted at Owasippe Scout Reservation, Twin Lake, Michigan. The course date is July 28, 2013 to August 3, 2013. Applications with a paid deposit or full payment will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the course reaches a capacity of 48. Alternates will be placed on a stand-by list. Deposit is due with application, then monthly payments until balance is paid in full. Cancellations prior to July 5th will receive a full refund less $50 deposit. Scouts in the Chicago Area Council BSA are invited to this fourth annual one-day Medicine Merit Badge clinic on Saturday, May 18 from 9am-3:30pm. This clinic is free of charge but space is limited. As long as Scouts are engaged and willing to learn about medicine, each Scout will leave the clinic having earned the Medicine Merit Badge. Only Scouts who have not already completed the Medicine Merit Badge may attend. Pre-registration is required. Click for more information.

Final sales numbers for 1st and 2nd prizes must be reported by June 1st to be in the running for the iPad or gaming system. Email, call or fax in your Scout’s name, how much they sold and what unit they are from by June 1, 2013 at 12 midnight to be considered for 1st or 2nd place. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS DEADLINE WILL BE MADE. On June 1st the council office will be open from 10am to 1pm to give you the opportunity to settle out on the weekend.
