On the weekend of October 19-21, 2012, Fort Dearborn will be hosting the Leadership Games (a.k.a. Fall Camporee) at Camp Betz, 3858 Snow Road in Berrien Springs, Michigan. In the morning, the games will feature six outposts, each run by a combination of a unit commissioner and two youth members of the Order of the Arrow. The outposts will demonstrate and teach Boy Scout requirements up to the rank of First Class. For Cub Packs, we are looking to make use of both the BB-gun range and Archery range as well as giving Cub Scouts the opportunity to demonstrate their fishing skills. In Firebird, the dining hall, Steve Fee will run classes for adult training. In the afternoon, there are games planned to challenge scouts to demonstrate their leadership skills. Beginning this summer, your district commissioner and unit commissioner will be calling all Scoutmasters to ask to sit down with your unit's Senior Patrol Leader to go over the events of the day, which will help you plan to make the event a success for your unit.
