 Who can attend Webelos Resident Camp?

Scouts entering 4th grade and will be a Webelos I or Scouts entering 5th grade and will be a Webelos II can attend resident camp.

 What can Webelos do at Resident Camp?

 Work on advancements, learn to swim, do a conservation project, learn to use a bow and arrow, fire BB guns, make a craft, take a nature hike, learn knots, AND MORE!



                    $225  if using camp provided tents and final payment is postmarked by May 15th

                    $200  if using own tents and final payment is postmarked by May 15th


                    $150 per leader

          Remaining fees must be received by May 15th in order to avoid a late fee.

          Late Fee/Fee Increase

Fees increase $30/Scout after May 15th. New Scouts who register in the unit after January 1st pay the standard rate and are not subject to late fees.

 What is the refund policy?

The deposit is non-refundable or transferable at any time.

Cancellations prior to June 15th will receive a refund less $100 per person. All Cancellations after June 15th will forfeit all fees paid.

 What leadership/parent participation is required?

Each pack is required to provide its own leadership for Webelos Resident Camp. Each pack must have at least two (2) adults with Webelos during their stay at camp and a minimum of 1 leader per 5 Webelos. Parents are highly encouraged to attend with their Scouts. In the event that a Scout’s den is not attending, the Scout can attend if an adult comes with him for the complete session. All adults attending Resident camp should bring their Youth Protection Training Cards.

 What are the accommodations?

Everyone will be sleeping in tents. Everyone needs to bring a sleeping bag. Units may bring their own tents, however they are subject to BSA policy.

 What should campers bring?

Recommended: 1 complete Webelos Scout uniform*, Sleeping bag/blankets, Webelos Scout Handbook, Jacket/Sweatshirt Poncho or raincoat, Mosquito netting, Underwear (6 pairs), Swimsuit, Water bottle, Flashlight, Socks (6 pairs), Plate, bowl, cup, Pencil & Notebook, Shoes (2 pairs), Knife, fork, spoon, Toilet articles, Boots, Handkerchief, Towels, Sleepwear, Watch, Mosquito repellant (non?aerosol), Jeans/Shorts, T?shirts (6 pairs), Spending Money, Belt, Flip Flops or Shower Shoes, Pillow,
*Note: Webelos Scout uniforms are highly recommended, however, no Webelos Scout is denied admittance to camp because he does not own a uniform.

Optional: Extra shorts, Extra Scouting t?shirt, Neckerchief, Scout pack, Scout cook kit, Scout knife, Scout compass, Camera & film, Bible / Prayer Book.

 Health and Safety

Your Scout’s health and safety are the most important priority of the staff at camp. Each program and activity is designed to provide a safe, challenging experience for the Scout. A trained, certified Health Officer is on duty and available to your Scout for any problems that may occur. Webelos Resident Camp requires an Annual Physical examination in the last 12 months to all participants’ who stay in camp at least 72 hours. To ensure your safety, a roster of campers is required at check-in.

 How does our den sign up?

Designate an adult to serve as the Camping Coordinator, fill out the Webelos Camp Reservation Form and pay the deposits or register each member online under your group (den number) here: Webelos Camp @ Camp Betz Session 1 or Webelos Camp @ Camp Betz Session 2

 Can I attend without my den?

Individual scouts with parents can sign up using the deposit form or register online if they are not attending as part of a a Den.  They may also choose to use online registration: Webelos Camp @ Camp Betz Session 1 or Webelos Camp @ Camp Betz Session 2
